Old Ballantruan

The power of peat

Stemming from Speyside-Glenlivet, Old Ballantruan is a single malt with a style of its own. Although a typical Speyside whisky, it also boasts a wonderfully smoky flavor. This label is one of the handful of extremely peated single malt whiskies from the Speyside region. The exclusive line is made twice per year with malted barley that is heavily peated to 55 PPM (phenol parts per million). The peat used to dry the grain comes from the area around Tomintoul. The resulting trio of whiskies take after their surroundings: pure and powerful. Sublime!
