Aberargie: When Barley Reveals the True Identity of Whisky

At the heart of Perthshire, Scotland, Aberargie embodies the Morrison family’s vision: to craft a whisky whose identity takes root in the barley itself. Located on the family’s own farmland, the distillery oversees every stage of production, from barley to bottling. This “farm-to-bottle” approach allows the Morrison family to maintain close control over the provenance of its raw materials and place terroir at the heart of its whisky-making process. Two barley varieties at the heart of the project Aberargie works with two key barley varieties: Golden Promise and Laureate. An iconic variety in the history of Scotch whisky, Golden Promise is grown on the land surrounding the distillery. Laureate, meanwhile, comes from two other farms owned by the Morrison family. With its first expressions, Aberargie sets out to highlight the influence of these different barley varieties on the whisky’s aromatic profile. The Aberargie Inaugural brings Golden Promise and Laureate together in a single expression, matured in equal proportions of bourbon and sherry casks. It reveals a generous profile of stewed orchard fruits, puff pastry, dried fruits, honey, cereals and spices. Golden Promise and Laureate: two single-varietal expressions The distillery takes this approach a step further with two whiskies, each crafted from a single barley variety. Aberargie Golden Promise reveals a rich and indulgent profile, with notes of stewed orchard fruits, buttery pastry, brown sugar and spices. It is matured predominantly in bourbon casks, complemented by a proportion of sherry casks. Aberargie Laureate stands out for its fresher, fruitier character, with notes of candied orange peel, orchard fruits, dried fruits and honey. Through these different expressions, Aberargie offers an original interpretation of Scotch single malt: starting with the barley itself to explore its influence on the final whisky. A philosophy that fully reflects the Morrison family’s ambition: to oversee production from field to bottle while placing the raw ingredient back at the heart of the tasting experience.

Camus entrusts us with the distribution of its Irish Lambay whiskeys

Camus La Grande Marque has entrusted us with the distribution of the Lambay Irish whiskey range, born from the meeting of two visionary minds: Cyril Camus and Alexander Baring. Owned by the Baring family since 1903, Lambay Island lies just a few kilometres off the Irish coast, near Dublin. This preserved territory offers a unique environment where tradition and innovation come together to create distinctive whiskeys. Triple distilled, Lambay whiskeys are finished in cognac casks, a signature of the House of Camus. On the island, the casks rest in a century old maturation warehouse known as the Sea Cask Room. The maritime microclimate marked by sea spray, iodine and salty air permeates the wood and contributes to the aromatic richness of the whiskeys. The reduction is carried out using the volcanic water of Trinity Well, a naturally mineral rich spring located on the island, bringing finesse and elegance to the spirit. The development of the range is overseen by Julie Landreau, Cellar Master of the House of Camus, who brings her expertise in maturation and blending to the Lambay whiskeys. We now distribute three expressions from the brand: Lambay Irish Malt Lambay Small Batch Lambay Single Grain A range that embodies the union of Irish terroir, maritime microclimate and the craftsmanship of the House of Camus.

The Akashi Meïsei Gift Set Wins a European Gold Award

The Akashi Meïsei gift set has received a Gold Award in the “Beverages” category at the 2026 European Carton Excellence Awards. Organised by Pro Carton and the European Carton Makers Association, this prestigious competition celebrates Europe’s most outstanding carton packaging. Entries are assessed by a panel of experts based on several criteria, including graphic and structural design, innovation, functionality, production techniques and sustainability. Featuring a bottle of Akashi Meïsei and two Japanese cups, the gift set impressed the jury with its distinctive opening, refined presentation and illustrations inspired by Japanese landscapes. Made entirely from cartonboard, it combines elegance, lightness and functionality while offering a memorable unboxing experience. Designed and produced in collaboration with Van Genechten Packaging, the gift set turns each opening into a genuine ritual of discovery, perfectly reflecting the refinement of Japanese culture. This prestigious award celebrates the creativity and craftsmanship behind the packaging while showcasing the distinctive world of Akashi Meïsei.

Amarula joins our portfolio of brands!

We are pleased to announce that we have taken over the distribution of Amarula, the iconic South African liqueur crafted from the marula fruit, a symbol of the country’s rich and wild natural environment. Amarula’s story is closely linked to Africa’s majestic elephants. Each year, during their migrations, they feast on the marula fruit, which grows wild across South Africa. It is from this unique fruit that Amarula was first created in 1963. In 1989, the addition of cream to the recipe gave birth to the famous Amarula Cream liqueur, now recognised worldwide. Hand-harvested marula fruits are transformed into marula wine, then distilled and matured for two years in French oak casks. Cream is then added, bringing a smooth texture and indulgent notes of vanilla, spices and caramel. Amarula is also committed to preserving its natural environment through the Amarula Trust, an initiative dedicated to protecting African elephants, supporting local communities and developing sustainable programmes. We now distribute four expressions from the brand: Amarula Original Amarula Ethiopian Coffee Cream Amarula Vegan Amarula African Gin, a unique gin crafted from marula spirit and carefully selected botanicals. A range that celebrates the richness and authenticity of this iconic African fruit.

La Gauloise is joining Whiskies du Monde !

It’s a beautiful new chapter we’re opening: La Gauloise is joining our portfolio of brands. Since 1783, this 100% French herbal liqueur has upheld an ancestral recipe crafted at the Distillerie du Centre by the Nouhaud family, faithful to a know-how that has remained unchanged. Double-distilled in traditional wood-fired pot stills, it is born from the blending of herbal distillates, eau-de-vie and sugar. La Gauloise stands out for a rare balance: the freshness of a newly crafted distillate combined with the depth gained through maturation in barrels.
