Since 1783, La Gauloise has upheld an ancestral recipe that has remained unchanged. Born from a French know-how passed down from generation to generation, it is now crafted at the heart of the Distillerie du Centre, where Pierre Nouhaud ensures this heritage lives on with the same exacting standards.
More than a liqueur, La Gauloise is a living memory of a historical secret, a testament to an ancestral French craftsmanship untouched by time.
An iconic 19th-century recipe, La Gauloise is still made using its original methods—double-distilled in traditional wood-fired pot stills, with full respect for time and craft. La Gauloise is a 100% French herbal liqueur with a bold, distinctive character. Crafted from a blend of herbal distillates, eau-de-vie and sugar, it delivers an intensely aromatic and generous expression. It combines the freshness of a newly crafted distillate with a substantial portion aged in barrels, bringing roundness, depth and a natural patina.

Founded in 1860 in Limoges and taken over by the Nouhaud family in 1981, the Distillerie du Centre upholds an ancestral know-how within its historic facilities, where Guy and Pierre Nouhaud relaunched the iconic La Gauloise liqueur in 1989.
