The Akashi Meïsei gift set has received a Gold Award in the “Beverages” category at the 2026 European Carton Excellence Awards.
Organised by Pro Carton and the European Carton Makers Association, this prestigious competition celebrates Europe’s most outstanding carton packaging. Entries are assessed by a panel of experts based on several criteria, including graphic and structural design, innovation, functionality, production techniques and sustainability.
Featuring a bottle of Akashi Meïsei and two Japanese cups, the gift set impressed the jury with its distinctive opening, refined presentation and illustrations inspired by Japanese landscapes. Made entirely from cartonboard, it combines elegance, lightness and functionality while offering a memorable unboxing experience.
Designed and produced in collaboration with Van Genechten Packaging, the gift set turns each opening into a genuine ritual of discovery, perfectly reflecting the refinement of Japanese culture.
