Amarula’s story began in 1963 with a spirit distilled from the marula fruit.
It was only six years later, in 1989, with the addition of cream to the recipe, that Amarula achieved worldwide success. Its marula fruit–based recipe remains unique to this day, preserving both a natural ecosystem and a historic savoir-faire.
• 50ml Amarula Gin
• 25ml pineapple juice
• 25ml lemon juice
• 15ml sugar syrup
• 1/2 teaspoon orange marmalade
• A dash of Prosecco or soda water
• If you prefer to avoid Prosecco, soda water will provide the fizz
• A slice of pineapple for garnish
1. In a shaker filled with ice, pour the Amarula Gin, pineapple juice, lemon juice, sugar syrup, and orange marmalade.
2. Shake vigorously for a few seconds to thoroughly combine the ingredients.
3. Strain into a glass filled with ice.
4. Top with a splash of Prosecco or sparkling water.
5. Garnish with a slice of pineapple.
