Hacienda Corralejo Distillery

KEEPING TRADITION ALIVE

Hacienda Corralejo, where Los Arango tequilas are distilled, is a majestic building surrounded by fields of blue agave that stretch as far as the eye can see. It was built in 1700 just outside the Mexican town of Pénjamo. Beyond its brick walls, Mexico's vibrant culture thrives: markets with fruits in every color, traditional music and the aromas of spices wafting out of open doors. Hacienda Corralejo is driven by its quest to capture these moments of joy and conviviality.

THE LEGEND AT THE HEART OF LOS ARANGO TEQUILA

Los Arango pays tribute to a hero of the 1910 Mexican Revolution, José Doroteo Arango, known by the nickname Pancho Villa.

He led troops in northern Mexico and became famous for protecting the people from the dictatorship installed in the country. One day, an agave farmer distilled a tequila that he presented to Pancho Villa as a token of gratitude for his protection. Pancho Villa was moved by the gesture and asked the farmer to put his name on the bottle. Los Arango was born!
