Located in Bas-Armagnac, near Eauze, Domaine Laballe is one of the region’s oldest family-owned estates, founded in 1820 by Jean Dominique Laudet. Eight generations later, Cyrille and Julie Laudet carry this legacy forward with an approach that is both exacting and contemporary.
Across its 25 hectares, the estate cultivates Armagnac’s historic grape varieties—Ugni Blanc, Baco, Folle Blanche, Colombard, and Plant de Graisse—vinified with care before undergoing traditional continuous distillation in a 1947 copper Armagnac still, fired in part with acacia wood. This process imparts a rare aromatic intensity, true to the Gascon terroir. Today, Laballe stands as a powerful symbol of the revival of independent Armagnac.
