Copper House Distillery

INNOVATIVE and COMMITTED

The Copper House Distillery has a very special place in the European microdistillery scene. In 1872, the Adnams brewery opened in the English town of Southwold on the coast of the North Sea, giving rise to the company of the same name. The artisans of this company were eager to spread their creative wings and make more than just beer. The Copper House Distillery first saw the light of day two centuries later, in 2010. Adnams is characterized by strong values that help the company promote its bold and elaborate creations.

Profitable local distribution networks

When it comes to local distribution networks, authenticity is a top priority. All their raw materials are obtained from carefully selected local producers. For example, the rye comes from the small town of Reydon located just a stone's throw from the distillery. For these artisans, who are committed to working with premium ingredients throughout the entire production process, being able to take advantage of the local terroir is synonymous with quality.

An environmentally-friendly distillery

It may sound like a paradox, but the artisans are able to reap the maximum benefit from these premium raw materials by using state-of-the-art equipment. Respectful of traditions yet eager to impress their aficionados, the brand, by creating unique and innovative products, has found an approach that is appealing to all. To the executive board, respect for the environment is also a major concern. When building facilities and planning production processes, they always keep the principles of sustainable development in mind. Their motto? Nothing (or very little) is lost and everything is recyclable! The Copper House Distillery was the first British distillery to incorporate an "Anaerobic Bio Digester," a tool that lets them recycle its waste into "green" gas that is then sent back into the national gas distribution network.
